Scaleless Shrimpgoby
(Tomiyamichthys nudus)
Tomiyamichthys Gobies should be added to well established aquariums. Plenty of stable rock work, cracks, crevices and caves should be provided for hiding. Provide a deep sand bed as they are a good sand sifter hovering over the sand picking up mouths of sand looking for small invertebrates and organic matter. Tomiyamichtys Gobies are small and fit well in most reef aquariums. A diet of meaty and algae-based foods should be provided as often as possible but at least four times daily. Tomiyamichthys Gobies tend to be shy house with other peaceful tank mates. They prefer to live singly or in pairs as they may become aggressive to other Goby species. Provide a tight-fitting aquarium as Gobies may jump. Tomiyamichthys Gobies will develop a symbiotic relationship with Shrimp. Scaleless Shrimp Goby are also sometimes known simply as the Partner Goby. Not often seen in the aquarium trade. Scaleless Shrimp Gobies have varied colors but mainly a brown head, tan to light brown marbled color with brown stripes which may sometimes be red, thin white stripes and blue streaks on their anal fin. Scaleless Shrimp Gobies can grow to a little over 1". We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 10 gallons or larger for this species. Water conditions: Salinity 1.020 – 1.025, Temp (F) 72 – 78, pH 8.1 – 8.4, Alkalinity 8 – 12 dKH
