Seale's Cardinalfish

Apogon Cardinalfish should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of room to swim. Plenty of rock work with caves and ledges should be provided for grazing and hiding. Most Apogon Cardinalfish are peaceful schooling fish but carefully research each species before adding to your aquarium. A diverse diet of enriched meaty foods should be provided for continued good health. Most Apogon Cardinalfish are active at night and rest during the day. Some Cardinalfish are mouth brooders research each species to ensure the appropriate care is given. They are slow methodical swimmers house with other peaceful tank mates.

The Seale's Cardinalfish is also known as the Cheek Barred Cardinalfish. Rarely seen in the aquarium trade. Seale's Cardinalfish are a light tan color with dark horizontal lines that run from the snout to the tail and a dark spot at the caudal peduncle. Seale's Cardinalfish can grow to almost 4".

We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 30 gallons or larger for this species.
