Twobelt Cardinalfish

Apogon Cardinalfish should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of room to swim. Plenty of rock work with caves and ledges should be provided for grazing and hiding. Most Apogon Cardinalfish are peaceful schooling fish but carefully research each species before adding to your aquarium. A diverse diet of enriched meaty foods should be provided for continued good health. Most Apogon Cardinalfish are active at night and rest during the day. Some Cardinalfish are mouth brooders research each species to ensure the appropriate care is given. They are slow methodical swimmers house with other peaceful tank mates.

The Twobelt Cardinalfish is also known as the Doublebar Cardinalfish. Rarely seen in the aquarium trade. Twobelt Cardinalfish are gray to brown color with two black stripes that run half way down its body and a small dark spot on its caudal peduncle . Twobelt Cardinalfish can grow to almost 7".

We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 70 gallons or larger for this species.
