Yellow Teardrop Butterflyfish are mainly yellow with a teardrop shaped spot on its upper flank. As juveniles this spot is more rounded and trimmed in white. As the fish matures the white will become yellow and eventually forms the teardrop shape. A black stripe runs through the fishs eye and another one at the rear of the fish.
