Ribbon Basslet

Liopropoma Basslets should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of rockwork, deep caves and coral overhangs. Provide a diet of meaty enriched foods along with algae matter. Keep well fed with multiple feedings per day but do not overfeed. considered to be peaceful but can be aggressive towards inhabitants of its own kind. Avoid adding larger inhabitants to the aquarium as they may harass this shy fish. Lioproproma are considered to be gonochorists meaning they do not change sex. Liopropoma Basslets may jump provide an aquarium with a tight fitting lid.

The Ribbon Basslet is also known as the Ribbon Bass. Quite colorful the Ribbon Basslets are uncommon in the aquarium trade. Ribbon Basslets are an overall pink color with a reddish maroon stripe running horizontally through the middle of its body. The head and tail have a bit of yellow on them accenting these areas. Ribbon Basslet can grow to almost 7".

We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 70 gallons or larger for this species.
