Randall's Assessor Basslet

Assessor Basslets are generally hardy and peaceful aquarium inhabitants. Provide a well established aquarium with plenty of coral and rock cover with cracks, caves and crevices as Assessor Basslets need areas to rest in. Assessor Basslets are hermaphroditic meaning they may have both sex organs at some point in their lives. Assessor Basslets are reef safe, provide a diet of meaty enriched foods. Most Basslets remain on the small side so make a great nano reef inhabitant. Male Basslets tend to be more brightly colored than females. Basslets may jump provide an aquarium with a tight fitting lid.

The Randall's Assessor Basslet is also known as the Coral Assessor. This Basslet is not often seen in the aquarium trade. This splendidly blue colored fish develops red accents as it matures making it one of the most colorful Basslets. Randall's Assessor Basslet can grow to 2".

We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 30 gallons or larger for this species.
