Barred Angelfish

(Paracentropyge multifasiata)

Paracentropyge Angelfish should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of room to swim. Plenty of rock work, caves, cracks and crevices should be provided for grazing and hiding. Paracentropyge Angelfish may pick at sponge, tunicates, benthic organisms or sessile invertebrates. A diet of meaty and algae based foods along with Angel preperations which include sponge should be provided. Care will need to be taken when handling Angelfish as they have cheekspines, avoid using nets when handling. Paracentropyge Angelfish are hermaphroditic meaning they may have both sex organs at some point in their lives. May be territorial towards other Angelfish with the same shape.

The Barred Angelfish is also known as the Multi-barred or Manybanded Angelfish This charming and ornate Angelfish has a white base color with eight black bars fading to yellow towards the bottom of the fish. It also has a distinctive black spot at the back of the dorsal fin which will fade as the fish matures. Barred Angelfish can grow to 4".
