Two Spot Goby

(Signigobius biocellatus)

Signigobius Gobies should be added to well established aquariums. Plenty of stable rock work, cracks, crevices and caves should be provided for hiding. Provide a deep sand bed as they are a good sand sifter hovering over the sand picking up mouths of sand looking for small invertebrates and organic matter. Signigobius Gobies are small and fit well in most reef aquariums. A diet of meaty and algae based foods should be provided as often as possible but at least four times daily. Signigobius Gobies tend to be shy house with other peaceful tank mates. They prefer to live singly or in pairs as they may become aggressive to other Goby species. Provide a tight fitting aquarium as Gobies may jump.

Two Spot Goby are also sometimes known as the Twin Spot Goby. Rarely seen in the aquarium trade. Two Spot Gobies are mainly white with tan colored spots, vertical thin tan stripes through its eyes, blue spot on its anal fin and a pair of black eyespots on its dorsal fin. Two Spot Gobies can grow to almost 4".

We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 30 gallons or larger for this species.
