Hasselt's Goby

Callogobius Gobies should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of rockwork, caves, cracks and crevices. Provide a sand bed with wide open sandy areas. They prefer aquariums with higher water flow and oxygen levels. Callogobius Gobies are small, peaceful and considered reef safe making them a great addition to home aquariums. Callogobius Gobies are shy and slow moving and should be housed with other peaceful fish. Feed an enriched diet of meaty and algae based prepared foods multiple times daily. Gobies are jumpers, provide an an aquarium with a tight fitting lid.

Hasselt's Goby are also sometimes known as Hasselt's Flaphead Goby. Not often seen in the aquarium trade. The Hasselt's Goby are a brown mottled color with a dark stripe that runs through its eye, black spot on its caudal fin and dark brown stripes. Hasselt's Goby can grow to almost 1".

We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 30 gallons or larger for this species.
