Tailspot Blenny

Ecsenius Blennies are sometimes referred to as Clown Blennies. Blennies should be added to well established aquariums. Rock work should be provided for perching, hiding and grazing. Ecsenius Blennies are considered to be easy and peaceful however, can become aggressive to other fish resembling their shape. If sufficient algae is not present supplement with algae based foods and algae matter. Males tend to be larger than females. Most Blennies lack or have very small swim bladders. Be sure to provide an aquarium with a tight fitting lid as Blennies may jump.

The Tailspot Blenny is also known as the Tailspot Coralblenny. Rarely seen in the aquarium trade. Tailspot Blennies are usually an orange to brown coloration with a black spot on its caudal peduncle and black and yellow band below its eye. Tailspot Blenny can grow to 3".

We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 10 gallons or larger for this species.
