Gramma Basslets should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of rockwork and caves. Gramma Basslets are considered peaceful but can become territorial. Provide a diet of meaty enriched foods along with algae matter. Keep well fed with multiple feedings per day but do not overfeed. Avoid adding larger inhabitants to the aquarium as they may be easily harrassed. Gramma Basselets have also been known to remove ectoparsites off of other fish. Gramma Basslets are hermaphroditic meaning they may have both sex organs at some point in their lives. Gramma Basslets may jump provide an aquarium with a tight fitting lid.

The Yellowlined Basslet is also known as the Dusky Basslet. Uncommonly seen in the aquarium trade this simply colored gray brown fish exhibits small light colored spot with green yellow lines hightlighting its face. Yellowlined Basslet can grow to 3".

We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 30 gallons or larger for this species.
