Green Bowerbanki Coral

Acanthastrea Corals should be added to well established aquariums with moderate water flow and medium to strong lighting depending on placement within the aquarium. Generally found on reef slopes or lagoons. Acanthastrea Corals are photosynthetic and receive the majority of their nutrients from lighting but will benefit from weekly feedings of a planktonic foods placed in the center of the coral as food is shared with other polyps. Acanthastrea Corals do not tolerate copper medications. Acanthastrea Corals are generally easy to care for and are considered reef safe however space should be given between other corals as they may become a bit aggressive. Corals will benefit from the addition of Calcium, Strontium, Iodine, Magnesium and Trace Elements.

Green Bowerbanki Coral may also be known as Homophyllia bowerbanki. Not often seen in the aquarium trade. The Green Bowerbanki Corals are generally a pale grey, brown or rust often marbled. However the Green Bowerbanki is seen in varying shades and hues of green. Bowerbanki colonies will vary greatly in size, they have short polyps and long sweeper tentacles.
