Yellow & Black Angelfish is a rarely seen dwarf angelfish best suited for experienced marine aquarists due to its specialized needs and limited availability. This species thrives in well-established reef aquariums of at least 70–100 gallons, with plenty of live rock for grazing, hiding, and territory. Like other dwarf angels, it is an omnivore that requires a varied diet including algae, sponge-based foods, and high-quality frozen preparations. While generally semi-aggressive, it can coexist with other peaceful to moderately assertive fish if given enough space. Caution is advised in reef tanks, as individuals may nip at corals or clam mantles. Stable water parameters, excellent filtration, and a mature system are key to long-term success with this uncommon and striking species.
