Klausewitz's Blenny

Ecsenius Blennies are sometimes referred to as Clown Blennies. Blennies should be added to well established aquariums. Rock work should be provided for perching, hiding and grazing. Ecsenius Blennies are considered to be easy and peaceful however, can become aggressive to other fish resembling their shape. If sufficient algae is not present supplement with algae based foods and algae matter. Males tend to be larger than females. Most Blennies lack or have very small swim bladders. Be sure to provide an aquarium with a tight fitting lid as Blennies may jump.

The Klausewitz's Blenny is also known as the Lined or Linear Blenny. Occasionally seen in the aquarium trade. The Klausewitz's Blenny are quite beautiful with half brown to black on the dorsal side of its body and white on its belly. Klausewitz's Blennies can grow to 3".

We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 30 gallons or larger for this species.
