Rainbow Slender Wrasse

(Suezichthys arquatus)

Provide an aquarium with ample rock work with plenty of cracks crevices and caves for hiding and resting. Suezichthys Wrasse are burrowers and need a deep sand bed to sleep and rest in. Harems can be kept in the aquarium with 1 male and several females if added at the same time. Suezichthys may be seen as a cleaner Wrasse, cleaning external parasites and other matter off of willing fish. Suezichthys are hermaphrodites, starting as juveniles/females and may turn into a male at some point in its life. They are carnivores and will consume invertebrates like marine worms, crustaceans, dove snails, limpets, fish larvae and squid. Provide a diet rich in meaty based foods as well as small amounts of seaweed for continued good health. Provide an aquarium with a tight fitting lid as Wrasse will jump.
