SUMMARY

We are a leading company in a unique perishable industry and are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee our expanding warehouse operations. The Operations Manager will be responsible for maintaining high levels of accuracy, leading and developing the warehouse team, and providing exceptional customer service while maximizing productivity and efficiency. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in warehouse management, experience with lean manufacturing and automation, and the ability to manage multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead warehouse operations by implementing Good Management Practices, providing direction to staff, and training personnel on key skills.
  • Manage inventory accuracy, FIFO turn, and optimize costs while consistently meeting and exceeding customer service standards, ensuring complete and on-time order shipments.
  • Build an effective team through hands-on employee relations, hiring, cross-training, and communication with both management and front-line hourly personnel.
  • Research, identify, and implement automatic and manual control processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and generate cost savings.
  • Develop key metrics to assess, measure, and control warehousing activities, regularly monitoring finished work based on schedules and assignments.
  • Proactively evaluate warehousing support systems and processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and minimize costs while maximizing productivity.
  • Analyze process workflow, manning, space requirements, and equipment layout to identify and implement system improvements.
  • Establish and monitor security procedures and protocols to safeguard warehouse operations and assets.
  • Manage inventory levels by conducting physical/cycle counts and reconciling with the ERP system.
  • Expand shipping capacity to support the growth of multi-channel fulfillment.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience of at least 5 years in a highly data-driven warehouse management environment.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing and optimizing automation initiatives.
  • Experience managing multiple teams and fostering employee development.
  • Strong negotiation skills to manage vendor relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP software, and utilization of barcode systems in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Excellent planning, organizational, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Solid problem-solving ability in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

SUMMARY

The marine husbandry aquarist is an entry level position. The marine husbandry aquarist I is responsible for maintaining clean and healthy aquariums for livestock. These duties include but are not limited to: livestock health management, siphoning and cleaning livestock holding, and distribution of feeds to marine fishes and invertebrates.

Primary RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Remove deceased animals from the holding systems
  • Prepare and distribute feeds
  • Treating disease
  • Clean tanks, systems, and work areas
  • Handling and moving livestock as needed
  • Water testing and data entry

Secondary RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Assist livestock acclimation, freshwater husbandry, invert husbandry, packing and picking, facility maintenance teams.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualification/Requirements

  • Weekend and holiday work required
  • Entry level - no prior experience required
  • Keeping aquariums, a plus – tell us about it!
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

SUMMARY

The marine husbandry aquarist II is responsible for the daily care and health management of all marine fishes in the facility. These duties include but are not limited to: distributing feeds to marine fishes, water quality sampling and testing, tank cleaning, inventory control, and recognition and treatment of diseases, making and distributing saltwater, and other husbandry-related tasks as assigned.

Primary RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Remove deceased animals from the holding systems
  • Prepare and distribute feeds to livestock
  • Maintain system organization and move fish as needed
  • Water testing and data entry
  • Administer livestock treatments
  • Remove animals in need of treatment and place in hospital systems
  • Identify and remove healthy animals from the treatment system
  • Clean and maintain tanks, systems, and work areas
  • Mix and distribute chemicals
  • Count and adjust inventory as required

Secondary RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Assist livestock acclimation, freshwater husbandry, invert husbandry, packing and picking, facility maintenance teams.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualification/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field or equivalent experience
  • Weekend and holiday work required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, work under pressure, meet deadlines and be able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Knowledge of marine fishes and invertebrates required
  • Fish pathology, coral husbandry, and coral propagation a plus

SUMMARY

The marine husbandry aquarist is responsible for the health and well being of all fishes and invertebrates in the facility. This position will specialize in maintaining tropical marine invertebrates and coral propagation.

Primary RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Perform invertebrate health inspections daily
  • Identify, grade, create SKU structure for new color types and species of coral
  • Clean tanks, systems, and manage invertebrate interaction
  • Understand arrival schedule and open up arrival and holding space for incoming shipments
  • Moving, organizing, and verifying WYSIWYG corals
  • Update inventory using hand-held devices and database
  • Develop and maintain invertebrate quality reports
  • Test and maintain optimum system parameters
  • Develop and administer treatments as needed
  • Manage coral propagation process
  • Checking and maintaining invert/coral inventory counts

Qualifications/Requirements

  • AS plus experience or equivalent experience
  • Prior experience with coral and invertebrate husbandry techniques a plus
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, work under pressure, meet deadlines and be able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong computer skills

The Inventory Control I is an entry level position. The Inventory Control I is responsible for maintaining livestock inventory to improve the customer experience. These duties include but are not limited to: cycle counting, invoice entry, and daily counting and adjustments.
