Radium Rosetail Betta
The Radium Rosetail Betta is a striking variety of Betta splendens known for its vibrant metallic coloration and heavily branched, rose-like fins. These bettas thrive in warm, stable freshwater aquariums of at least 5 gallons with gentle filtration, low to moderate flow, and plenty of resting areas near the surface. Ideal water parameters include temperatures between 78–82°F, a pH of 6.5–7.5, and clean, well-maintained water through regular partial water changes. Because Rosetail Bettas have large, delicate fins, sharp décor and strong currents should be avoided to prevent tearing and stress. A high-quality varied diet of protein-rich pellets, frozen foods, and occasional live foods helps maintain coloration, finnage, and overall health. Radium Rosetail Bettas are generally best kept alone or with carefully selected peaceful tankmates, as males can be territorial and their elaborate fins may attract fin-nipping species. Dense plants, floating cover, and subdued lighting help create a calm environment that encourages natural behavior and reduces stress.
