Calico Bubble Eye Goldfish

The Calico Bubble Eye Goldfish is a selectively bred fancy goldfish prized for its colorful calico pattern and distinctive fluid-filled sacs beneath the eyes. Like other Bubble Eyes, it lacks a dorsal fin and is a slow, delicate swimmer, making it important to provide a calm aquarium with excellent filtration and plenty of open floor space. The eye sacs are extremely fragile, so sharp rocks, rough décor, abrasive substrate, and strong filter intakes should be avoided. Use smooth décor, soft plants, and protected or sponge-covered intakes. Feed a varied omnivorous diet of quality sinking goldfish pellets, gel foods, vegetables, and occasional frozen foods such as daphnia or bloodworms. Fancy goldfish generally do best around 68–74°F with stable, well-maintained water.
