The Spoon Face Loricaria is a larger species of whiptail catfish that is imported from the Rio Ucayali in Peru. This uncommonly shaped catfish reaches a length of up to 14 inches while sporting an attractive spoon shaped head, and a jaw-dropping caudal filament that can exceed the length of the body. Their flattened bodies allow them to inhabit the sandy shallows with swift moving oxygen rich waters where they spend a large amount of time partially buried in the fine substrate.
