The Doubletail Alien Betta is a hardy freshwater fish that thrives in a heated, well-filtered aquarium of at least 5 gallons with stable water conditions. As a selectively bred betta with wild lineage influence, it benefits from calm water flow, plenty of plants, and hiding spots, which help reduce stress and encourage natural behavior. Feed a high-quality carnivorous diet including betta pellets, frozen or live foods like bloodworms, daphnia, and brine shrimp to maintain vibrant color and health. Like most male bettas, they are territorial and should be housed alone or with very peaceful tank mates that won’t nip fins. The doubletail trait can make the fish slightly more delicate, so maintaining excellent water quality with regular water changes is important for long-term health. With proper care, these striking bettas can live 3–5 years and display both the bold personality of domesticated bettas and the unique metallic scaling of the alien line.
