Dorityi Rainbowfish is a beautiful and relatively rare species of rainbowfish native to Papua New Guinea in the Grimé River. They are prized by aquarists for their striking colors and peaceful nature, making them excellent additions to community aquariums. Provide plenty of plants, driftwood, and rocks to create a natural environment resembling their native habitat. Dense vegetation along the sides and back of the tank will offer hiding spots and security. Dorityi Rainbowfish are schooling fish and feel most secure when kept in groups of six or more. A larger group will also display their natural schooling behavior more prominently. These fish are omnivores and will accept a variety of foods. Offer them a balanced diet of high-quality flakes, Nutramar Pellets, and occasional live or frozen foods such as Gamma Bloodworms, Brine Shrimp, or Daphnia.
