Black Galaxy Fishbone Shrimp
The Black Galaxy Fishbone Shrimp is a high-grade Caridina shrimp variety prized for its deep black coloration, galaxy speckling on the head, and striking fishbone pattern along the back. In aquariums, they require stable, clean, soft water and are best kept by shrimp keepers with some Caridina experience. They thrive in well-established, mature tanks with active buffering substrates that maintain low pH and stability. Filtration should be gentle, often provided by sponge filters or pre-filtered intakes, with zero ammonia or nitrite and very low nitrates. Provide mosses, leaf litter, fine plants, and shrimp-safe hiding spots to create a comfortable environment. Their diet should include high-quality shrimp-specific foods, blanched vegetables, biofilm, and occasional protein-rich supplements. Because they are sensitive to fluctuations, avoid large water changes and maintain consistency in remineralized RO water. They are peaceful, best kept in species-only or carefully selected nano communities, and will breed readily once fully settled and kept in stable premium Caridina conditions.
