Halieutichthys Batfish are known as Pancake Batfish because of their body shape. Pancake fish should be added to well established aquariums with a sandy bottom as they tend to cover themselves with sand. Provide a diet of meaty enriched foods along with algae matter. Pancake fish will eat snails, clams, crustaceans, scallops, worms or even small fish.
The Pancake Batfish is also known simply as a Pancakefish. Pancake Batfish are quite unique as they are mainly a mottled brown coloration but are capable of blending into their surroundings. Pancake Batfish can grow to 4".
We recommend a minimum aquarium size of 30 gallons or larger for this species.
