Bob's Picks

One of the strengths of Quality Marine is our experienced husbandry team and their dedication to the proper care and handling of all the species we house. All of our marine biologists on staff have extensive experience and education. We have many protocols we follow here, but among the most important are our feeding regimens. The importance of nutrition and resuming the natural feeding behavior of our animals is paramount. This is especially important as the majority of fish are fasted prior to shipment which prevents them from compromising the water they are shipped in. So our team makes sure animals are fed as soon as possible after arrival.

There are a myriad of factors that go into keeping our stock as healthy and happy as possible, but our focus on optimal nutrition and great water quality can prevent just about almost all the issues that could be likely to arise. Our husbandry team works in concert with the production team to ensure you are receiving specimens that are in optimal condition and will transition to your aquatic environment seamlessly.

From our Short Supply Chain in Fiji we have a limited supply of MAC Dragon Wrasses (Novaculichthys taeniourus) that are in great shape. We don't differentiate juveniles and adults, but this batch is all the juvenile form, as they generally are from this vendor.

One of our aquaculture facilities has sent a very nice batch of Aquacultured Orange Skunk Clowns (Amphiprion sandaracinos). These are brilliantly colored, are in great shape and eat anything.

We have a great supply of Silver Streak Goldie Anthias (Pseudanthias kashiwae). If you aren't familiar with these, they are a larger Anthias that is absolutely gorgeous under good lights. As well as being very hardy with great appetites. Order in larger groups, especially if you are looking for a lot of activity in a big display.

On the invert side we have some extremely nice Aquacultured Ultra Color Super Zoanthids. Yes, that is a long, and somewhat ridiculous name, but there are a large number of super premium zoanthids on many of these rocks, so get them while they last.

Lastly, give your sales rep a call this week as we are both repricing and having some great sales on all our Australian Corals like Scolymia, Fungia, Chalices, Gold Torches to name a few. These have been flying out of here all week, so don't miss out on it next week.
