Bob's Picks

As we enter the New Year, I always wonder whats in store for the coming year. Taking a look back at 2013 we had some really great Angel Hybrids like the Tigerpyge Hybrid Angels (Centropyge eibli x flavissimus) and a really cool Genicanthus we never really were able to decide upon just to name a couple. We also were able to introduce the Aquacultured Clarion Angel ( Holacanthus clarionensis) and the first Aquacultured Blue Maze Angel (Chaetodontoplus cephalareticulatus) to North America. It was truly an honor to be able to bring the still to be identified New Caledonian Sunrise Anthias (Pseudanthias sp) to the U.S. market. 2013 also saw another explosion of maricultured corals enter the marketplace and the farms are putting out some very outstanding specimens as it shows they have done their homework in selecting their mother colonies. Looking ahead we will continue to strive to bring you not only the best but also the most diverse selections on a daily basis.

On the limited front, there are a few XL Male Laboute's Wrasses (Cirrhilabrus laboutei) from one of our Short Suppy Chain vendors that are just stunning. These are approaching supermale coloration. Get them quickly, there aren't many.

We also have come Bellus Angels (Genicanthus bellus) both female and male. These are in great shape and are eating well. While we don't pair them in house, captive pairing is possible.

From our MAC supplier in Fiji, we have a good supply of small SSC 2 Spot Bristletooth Tangs (Ctenochaetus binotatus). I hate to use the descriptor "cute" but if the shoe fits... These are everything you have come to expect from MAC SSC fish.

We have an excellent supply of eyepopping Red Folded Brain Corals (Trachyphyllia geoffroyi). These have some WYSIWYG quality patterns and full, healthy mantles.

One of our Culture Facilities sent us a killer batch of Aquacultured Purple Flowerpot Corals (Goniopora sp.) that are very healthy, brilliant purple and exhibiting long flowing polyp extension.

Lastly, on the very unique note, we have a few Octopodes in house that are amazing and sure to get people to stop at a display. Give your Account Manager a call to see what is in stock.
