Bob's Picks

The Quality Marine website may be the portal to our industry leading online ordering system but that's not all it is. If you take the time to dig a little deeper there is an amazing wealth of information to be found. There is an absolutely huge catalog of fish, inverts and corals to for you to peruse. We are constantly reviewing and updating these photos and listings as animals get reclassified, or as we take better and better photos. There is also several years worth of feature articles, species spotlights and industry news that can be of value to anyone involved with the marine aquarium hobby, not to mention the vast number of links that cover all different aspects of our trade. We feel that providing you as much relevant information as we can helps everyone become better aquarium keepers and also gives people the information they need to become more ecologically and environmentally responsible. We hope you have as much enjoyment perusing the articles and we do producing them.

We have an excellent supply (and diversity) of tangs from one of our Short Supply Chains in the south Pacific. Of particular note are the Blonde Streamer Naso Tangs (Naso elegans), which are just stunning and the Desjardinii Sailfin Tangs (Zebrasoma desjardinii) that are also in gorgeous condition and in an excellent run of sizes.

Another Short Supply Chain vendor sent us a limited supply of pretty amazing Leaf Fish (Taenianotus sp.), that are a great size and in a variety of patterns and colors. There is even a pair of red ones.

Speaking of pairs, for those of you looking for the absolute ultimate in eel coolness, we have Pair of Dragonface Eels(Muraena pardalis). This is an extremely rare item for us. If you want it, do not wait.

One of our clam culture facilities has been sending some very nice Aquacultured Blue Rim Derasa Clams (Tridacna derasa) and we have a good range of sizes available. These are in excellent condition and are definitely worth a look.

The rising popularity of Mantis Shrimps isn't surprising, what is surprising is that we have a couple little Zebra Mantis Shrimp (Lysiosquillina maculata). These are never here for very long, and these are much smaller than average.

Lastly, we also have a very good selection of Acropora Colonies (Acropora sp) here right now in an outstanding variety of species, growth forms and colors. Give your account manager a call and have them pick you a couple.
