The Picks

As September wanes away, sales heat up. The seasonal uptick is thoroughly underway here. Be sure you are stocking your tanks a bit more every order or risk the wrath of the crashed bio-filter. While keeping all aspects of your store shiny and bright is always important, ensuring the health of your bio-filter as business ramps up is more important than ever as you start to increase business. Adding too much livestock to your system at once will cause a spike in toxic ammonia and nitrites, leaving you with comprised (or worse) livestock. This gradual increase in fall ordering is one of the most important things you can do as a store owner.

For those of you looking for a real eye catcher, the Male Flame Wrasses (Cirrhilabrus jordani) in stock right now are just that. There is a few stunning males and a better selection of very nice females in stock right now.

From our MAC Short Supply Chain in Fiji, we have an excellent group of Barberi Tomato Clowns (Amphiprion barberi) in stock right now. There is a good range of sizes, and all are in spectacular shape.

On the invert side of the house, if you aren't buying Aussie Scolymia (Scolymia australis) from us right now, you are missing out big time. Check out the selection, there's one for everyone's taste and budget.

Over in the aquacultured inverts section, the Branching Daisy Corals (Alveopora spongiosa) are amazing. This batch is neon green and has perfect polyp extension. There isn't a ton of them in stock but the ones that are here are can't-miss kind of specimens.
