The Picks

Happy Labor Day everyone and for those of you attending, have fun at MACNA 2015 in Washington DC. For those of you who aren't aware, MACNA stands for "Marine Aquarium Conference of North America" and is one of the biggest marine aquarium expos around. While Quality Marine won't have a booth this year, we definitely have people on the ground there so don't be bashful about saying hi to them, especially Ryan. He'll take extra whip on any coffee beverage you offer.

Because of the Holiday Weekend, we'll be closed on Monday, but we have regular business hours for the rest of the week, and the online ordering system is always on (just like the WYSIWYG) so go ahead and get your orders in anyway!

We have our usual oustanding stock this week, but of particular notice are the Blue Hippo Tangs (Paracanthurus hepatus). These are recruiting right now throughout much of their natural range, so there are good numbers of very healthy fish in a perfect small size available for you.

On the slightly more rare side of things, you might want to check out the Female Tiger Angels (Genicanthus semifasciatus) that we have in stock. There aren't many, but they are gorgeous. If you want one, you will need to get an order in over the weekend, they'll sell fast once the week starts.

Over in inverts there is some extremely nice additions to our WYSIWYG selection, which we have pretty dramatically expanded. There are tons more items there, with new stock being added almost every day. Be sure to check it out if you haven't been there for a while. Of course, not everything belongs on the WYSIWYG because you can get a totally beautiful Aquacultured Fire and Ice Zoanthid (Zoanthid sp.) in full confidence that it looked pretty much exactly like the picture, with good coverage, tight polyps and that same disc size they always come on.
