Photo of the Week - Valenciennea decora

Very few Valenciennea decora are seen in the hobby, mostly because of their very restricted range. This one decided to start cleaning up around the photo tank. For those interested in keeping these gobies: make sure your rock work is very sturdy, for obvious reasons. They also need meaty foods a few times a day. At least once a day target feedings will ensure they don't get out competed for resources. They will keep your sandbed overturned, aerated, and pristine, but can't get enough nutrients to survive that way unless the aquarium is very large, very heavily stocked, and quite dirty.
