Photo of the Week - Rabaulichthys altipinnis

Altipinnis anthias males, like other fish in the Rabaulichthys genus, have impressive sailfins and interesting colorations. The females are slightly more drab, ranging from a burnt orange to a bright pink. We suggest keeping them in small groups. Housing One male and several females together is preferred, but hobbyists could also house several females sans male and wait for one of the females to establish dominance and morph.

We suggest feeding them multiple times per day as this is an active fish that would be continuously feeding in the wild. They are less aggressive than most anthias in the Pseudanthias genus.
