Photo of the Week - Pomacanthus xanthometopon

The Blue Face Angel (Pomacanthus xanthometopon) is a hardy species for the Marine Aquarium. Their wild diet includes sponges and algae, and similar foods should be supplied in the aquarium environment. While wild specimens have been found up to nearly 10", large captive specimens rarely exceed 7". Like most Angels, they are not recommended for the reef tank, as their grazing habits sometimes results in them eating your prized corals. Supply with adequate hiding places, lots of swimming room and a varied diet for best health and coloration.
