Photo of the Week - Hybrid Heraldi Angel

Centropyge heraldi is a dwarf angelfish common to the West and Southern Pacific. This one is less common; it has an aberrant marking that is substantial, and could be evidence of a hybridization. In general, this species of fish can be found around reefs, at a variety of depths. They reach a max size of about 4 inches in the wild. They are prolific eaters of algae and tunicates, and may nibble on clam mantles and LPS or soft corals.
