Photo of the Week - Gold Chain Eel

Chain Eels (Echidna catenata) have a couple different color forms based on where they're from. This is one of the gold variants, the other common variation is white and black. These are great eels for captivity; they are generally very peaceful and stay relatively small reaching a max size of only. They are crab eaters, and especially known for eating Sally Lightfoot Crabs, so be careful not to keep them with those. This makes them especially low risk with your fish and sessile inverts.
