Photo of the Week - Cirrhilabrus punctatus

Cirrhilabrus punctatus is an often overlooked Cirrhilabrus wrasse as it takes the right light to really make the fine sapphire blue spots come to life. Pictured is a "terminal male" showing full spawning coloration. Keep your male with one to three females for it to retain (or gain) this appearance. Varied, nutritious and frequent meals also go a long way toward maintaining the general vitality of any wrasse in this genus.
