Photo of the Week - Actinodendron sp

This genus of anemone is nearly never seen in the aquarium industry as it is fairly uncommon, does not host clownfish, and has a notoriously strong sting. This sting has earned it the common name "Hell's Fire". It is so strong that dried specimens were once allegedly used as a poisons. This being said, they come in a wide variety of colors and growth forms, are very beautiful and quite hardy. They will host anemone shrimp.
