Photo Of The Week - male Mauritius Flasher (Paracheilinus piscilineatus)
Without a doubt the male Mauritius Flasher Wrasse is stunning looking and will make the perfect addition for just about any aquarist. This wrasse is endemic to the waters around Mauritius, which is how they got their name. They can be shy at first, so try to provide plenty of hiding places and do not be alarmed if you do not see this wrasse for the first couple of days. This peaceful wrasse can live with other tank mates of non-aggressive behavior. Also, they will do great in a harem of 2-3 females per male. Like other wrasses in the Paracheilinus genus, the Mauritius Flasher can be added to reef aquariums. For continued health feed this wrasse a variety of frozen meaty foods and dry foods with vegetable matter.
