Photo Of The Week - Rainbow Coris Wrasse (Coris atlantica)
The Rainbow Coris Wrasse is one of the most sticking looking wrasses in the trade and with proper care it could be an excellent addition to any reef hobbyist. They are found in the inshore rocks and seagrass beds of the West Africa region, so their captive new home should try to reflect its wild habitat. Thus, a reef aquarium is the perfect home for them. Its habitat can be re-created by making sure that the aquarium has a sandy substrate and rocks where it can hide. Be careful when adding inverts as tank mates or they may become a snack. To maintain it in optimal health provide it with a varied diet of meaty foods and marine pellets. Also, try feed multiple times a day to compensate for its fast metabolism and active lifestyle.
