Photo Of The Week - Juvenile Red Coris Wrasse (Coris gaimard)
Give the juvenile Red Coris Wrasse a try and watch how its appearance will completely change as it develops into an adult. This wrasse is fairly easy to care and does not require too much extra attention. They do grow up to 16 inches, so be sure to provide an environment with enough swimming space. Also, be fair warned that the Coris Wrasse will jump when startled, so a tight fitting lid is suggested. These are considered reef safe since they will not bother corals, but if they get hungry enough the Coris Wrasse will snack on some cleanup crew members. To prevent your crustaceans from going missing, feed this wrasse twice daily with a varied diet of meaty foods.
