Photo Of The Week - Aberrant Bicolor Angel (Centropyge bicolor aberrant)
It seems as Christmas came a little early here at QM as a couple of weeks ago we received a unique Bicolor Angel in black and white from our short supply chain, exclusive vendor in Fiji. This is the first time this angelfish has graced our facility and it is causes a great deal of excitement. Not much is known about the origin of this color morph, but looks almost like a cross between a Bicolor Angel and a Half Black Angel. The care mimics the common Bicolor Angel and should be treated as such. Their temperament is territorial and exercise caution when adding this angel to a reef aquarium. Make sure its new home provides plenty of space for this fish to swim and rocks that provide spaces to hide in. It is an omnivorus fish, so to maintain its optimal health, feed it a variety of foods ranging from algae, sponges to meaty foods.
