Be prepared as we await the release of the 2007 Indonesian CITES permits. It is at this time every year that the Indonesian government reviews the previous years export quotas and determines the allowable export numbers for the current calendar year. Until the new permits are issued, you can expect a somewhat limited availability in terms of variety and quantity of the most popular items over the next few weeks as we use up remaining quota and permits from 2006. In anticipation of the reduced availability of Indonesian coral species over the next few weeks, we are increasing the volume of imports from our South Pacific sources.
In addition to the wild coral colonies we regularly import, we have been actively developing our Indonesian sources of aqua-cultured species and along with our usual assortment of SPS corals, we are beginning to receive cultured Euphyllia and Caulastrea in limited numbers, the sales of which are eligible for the Qm ReefHab Fund contribution. Ask your customer service representative for the latest availability.
