Bob's Picks

The way we communicate with our customers has dramatically changed over the years since I was on the order desk here at QM. Back in the day the phone and fax machine were your best friends. It wasnt too long before email moved from mumbo jumbo to an effective communication tool. Now we can all walk around with a full blown computer in our pockets, email and text are commonplace and we have social media from Twitter to FaceBook to help us communicate with you, our customers.

Because of this, our account managers today have quite a different experience than those of 30 years ago, or even 10 years ago. Among these is a greater opportunity to develop more effective relationships with their customers. With the convenience of our real-time inventory and online ordering, what was once perceived as overwhelming stocklists and massive inventory levels, is now an easily navigable system in which to place orders, complete with regularly updated WYIWYG additions.

Even with all this technology at your fingertips, sometimes there is just no replacement for a human being on the other end of the line. We have a great crew of energetic and knowledgeable account managers, so don't hesitate to take advantage of their services.

One of our culture facilities sent us a really nice batch of Semi-Picasso Percula Clowns (Amphiprion percula). These always come in great, but this batch seems to have even better coloration and more aberrant patterns than usual. These are a great value.

We have a good supply of Short Supply Chain White Blenny (Meiacanthus smithii) in stock right now. These are a great fish, very hardy, eat everything, stark coloration and always out and about. Use some caution when handling as these are a "Fang" Blenny and their bite is unpleasant.

We have a limited supply of Tongan Gold Nape Cardinals (Apogon sp) from another one of our Short Supply Chains. These are very cool and in excellent shape. These will form a tighter school than lots of the other Cardinals available.

We have a bountiful selection of Aquacultured Fire and Ice Zoanthids(Zoanthid sp.) that have just excellent coverage and coloration. There are even a few surprise polyps on a few of them.

For those of you who have need of hair algae destroyers, we have a good supply of very healthy and good sized Lettuce Nudibranchs (Elysia crispata) waiting for a job to do.

From another culture facility, the last batch of Aquacultured Australomussa (Australomussa rowleyensis) we got in came in just beautiful and big! There aren't too many here, so have your Account Manager grab one quick.
