Bob's Picks

This week Ive been thinking a lot about how the customer experience has changed over the years since I was on the order desk here at QM. Back in the day the phone and fax machine were your best friends and e-mail was just moving from mumbo jumbo to an effective communication tool. Our reps today have quite a different experience and a greater opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with their customers. With the convenience of our real-time inventory and online ordering, what was once perceived as overwhelming stocklists and massive inventory levels, is now an easily navigable system in which to place orders. Our reps are finding that time that used to be spent on the phones taking orders is now spent working with our clients to build more effective relationships through a better understanding of their needs. Your account representative is a vital key to making sure that you get what you expect as they will help guide you to the best values and take care of any of your needs. We have a great crew of energetic and knowledgeable account reps, so don't hesitate to take advantage of their services.

Just starting to recruit from our MAC Certified Short Supply Chain in Fiji are the juvenile Twinspot Wrasse (Coris aygula). This fresh shipment of juvenile Twinspots is stupendous with electric orange dots and black polka dots on their heads. These are truly juvenile fish with fast metabolisms, so feed heartily!

Also in supply from Fiji are juvenile Red Coris (Clown) Wrasse (Coris gaimard) and in excellent health of course. This well recognized species is a guaranteed eye catcher because of its solid red color with white saddle. These fish also offer the future enjoyment of the transition to its stunning adult color phase.

Our Multicolor Angels (Centropyge multicolor) from the Marshall Islands this week are in prime coloration and size. With already excellent body weight, these beauties are feeding heartily.

From our SSC in the Maldives, we have a limited number of +6 Lieutenant Tangs (Acanthurus tenneti) that are sporting awesome adult coloration. This under-appreciated surgeonfish would be a great centerpiece for any large reef display.

Our exclusive Florida Keys collector went to great lengths and found us a solid batch of Lettuce Nudibranch (Elysia crispata) this week. These algae eating machines are raring to go to work for you.

Get the word out to your account rep and have them select a batch of Bali Aquacultured corals for you. These prime pieces will be ready to go on Tuesday so get your requests in now!
