The Black Banded or Bandit Angelfish is without a doubt a beautiful and elegant fish that has metaphorically wrapped and stolen the hearts of hobbyist who have kept it in their aquarium. We recommend this angelfish to advance hobbyist because this is a wild specimen that will require more attention when acclimating and feeding. Since it is naturally found around rocky reef areas hiding or grassing and feeding, we recommend recreating this environment to make it feel more at home. This can easily be done by placing a few decorative of live rock in the aquarium to provide it shelter from the light and something to graze on. It is considered for the most part a shy and territorial fish, so exercise caution when adding to a community tank. To maintain it in optimal health at first it may need to fed live foods. With time, it can be slowly trained to accept variety of meaty frozen and dry foods.
