In an effort to bring in a greater variety of livestock, Quality Marine has found a new supply of algae eating hermits. The new hermits, called “Yellow Tip Assorted”, are a mix of Calcinus lateens and Clibanarius virescens species. These hermits are very similar to the Mexican red-tip hermit crabs and also reef-safe. They are excellent at helping to control the growth of various forms of micro and macro algae.
